#whomademyclothes - A FASHION REVOLUTION EVENING AT SEA BONES BYRON BAY

On Friday 28th April, Salt Gypsy founder, Danny, co-hosted an evening at Sea Bones Byron Bay with Kathy Taylor, designer/founder of San Taylor swimwear. Asking the question #whomademyclothes as part of the global Fashion Revolution Week 2017, Danny & Kathy presented the histories behind each label and the sustainable business practices both ladies were implementing in each of their independent and self-funded businesses.

With a full house packed with individuals and brand owners, Danny & Kathy opened the floor up to an engaged crowd with questions and dialogue around ethical manufacturing practices, the challenges involved and how collaboration & education is key for each of us to drive change from the bottom up and within our communities.

One key takeaway for us was the way in which we design, consume and produce the garments we choose to wear desperately needs to change within the highly complex fashion industry.

A big thank you to all the curious legends who took the time to come along on a Friday evening and learn more about Fashion Revolution. It was awesome to see such a turnout and connections being made.
